  • This policy covers how Waypoint treats personal information that Waypoint collects and receives, including information related to your past use of Waypoint products and services. General

  • Waypoint collects personal information when you register with Waypoint, when you use Waypoint products or services, and when you visit Waypoint pages.
  • Once you register with Waypoint and sign in to our services, you are not anonymous to us.
  • Waypoint collects information about your transactions with us, including information about your use of products and services that we offer.
  • Waypoint collects and stores any information used by you in connection with your use of the products and services that we offer (for example, any data which you enter in order to prepare a brochure using the Waypoint Navigator product).
  • Waypoint automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Waypoint cookie information, and the pages you request.
  • Waypoint uses information for the following general purposes: to customize the content you see, to fulfill your requests for products and services, to improve our services, to contact you, and to conduct research.

Children

  • Waypoint does not accept memberships from children under 13 years old. Because this is a site dedicated to helping marine industry professionals, it is not designed for use by children.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
Waypoint will not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies without your permission except under the following circumstances:

  • To offer to you products or services or to provide products or services you've requested;

  • We limit access to personal information about you to our employees and contractors who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.

  • We will communicate with you by email, and while we have safeguards in place to protect your personal information once we have received it, email is not secure, and can be read in transit by people other than the recipient.

Customer Service

  • Based upon the personal information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email to verify your username and password.  We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account.  We will communicate with you by email.
